Pigs, Lipsticks: lets get dirty

The recent 'misinterpretation' by the republicans of Obama saying that a pig with lipstick remains a pig shows that the presidential election has now stepped up a gear. Whether it be through soundbites or paid for advertising, political communications strategy is about to get nasty. An interesting article in the Observer highlights this tonal change. They say contrast ads, you and I may say, negative advertising, but whatever you want to call it, this form of communications can be highly effective for all the wrong reasons.
