Debate crammer
Le Figaro has prepared a fairly succinct crammer detailing both side's policies, although 'detail' is a slight exageration. For those who prefer something ligther, check out the unofficial vice presidential debate, below. Queen Latifia guest stars as debate chairwoman whilst Tina Fey and Saturday Night Live take some beating for their satire. The ratings for NBC, and SNL in particular, have soared over the last few weeks thanks to Tina Fey, who is also credited with being the biggest threat so far to Palin's credibility, so uncanny is her imitation.
For those wishing to bone up for tonight's final US presidential debate,

As you may know, yesterday, Gov. Palin 'visited' the show SNL. I don't know if you already watched it, but the two vids are really funny. Alec Baldwin (who works in Tina Fey in 30 Rock) participated to the show, as well as Amy Poehler. This time, she is 'singing' rap in front of Governor Palin, who seems to have worked on her image, to appear 'cool'. It's quite interesting because appearing in the show that caricatured her could create a sort of 'sympathy' towards her.
Anyway, here are the two hilarious videos. If you want to embed them in the blog, I think the links are in the NBC SNL pages.

Second video : Amy Poehler rap : http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/update-palin-rap/773781/
this is cracking stuff and whilst it smacks of politicians letting their hair down (no matter how back combed), I suspect it's more likely to be down to a particularly savvy PR team. It stills makes for cracking comedy. The rapping is particularly hilarious. Go Amy go, even pregnant she gives Eminem a good run for his money.
