Turkey Galore

As someone who has worked in the communications and Public Relations industry in particular, I need no convincing as to the benefits of good media training. Having something to say, the importance of staying on-message, coming across as human, reassuring, calm and knowledgeable without seeming arrogant; one's body language, dressing appropriately and finding the right 'location' are not necessarily things that automatically spring to mind, particularly in front of the bright lights of a camera or in the midst of a crisis. This particular video hits all those buttons for all the wrong reasons. Who suggested the location? From Governor Palin floundering through questions on oil and the economy to the the turkey wings, there are some strong visual metaphors in this shot which suggest the news editor has a wicked sense of humour and a strong literary background. Even the guy helping the turkeys meet their ancestors seems to realise the irony of the situation and the fact that he is about to hit You Tube big time.
